Improve the reach and QUALITY of program components
For program directors and administrators working to build, enhance, or track the development of their PrEP program
This document is designed to help clinics and community-based organizations develop a staffing plan and clinic flow for delivering effective and equitable injectable PrEP (iPrEP) programs.
Realizing that it may be difficult to start from scratch and might be helpful to see how other clinics are doing things, we present three sample staffing models. These models are a synthesis of BLUPrInt’s work with clinical demonstration sites across the country and highlight flexible approaches to iPrEP program delivery.
The BLUPrInt Planning Roadmap defines a set of 40+ activities that clinics can complete to support their progress across eight stages of implementation. Following these activities will prompt clinics to proceed in a structured way, from contemplating whether PrEP is a good fit for their clinic population to achieving complete integration into clinical services. Implementation research suggests that completing more pre-implementation activities may improve the likelihood of successfully launching and sustaining new interventions.
Have you checked out our PrEP Program Builder? The BLUPrInt PrEP Program Builder breaks the process of developing and/or improving a PrEP Program into six manageable components, and provides concrete resources focused on each one.
