About Us

BLUPrInt is an NIMH-funded implementation science project designed to synthesize lessons from HIV prevention programs and models, and develop data-driven tools and resources that can accelerate equitable diffusion of proven prevention strategies.

BLUPrInt is based on the scientific premise that systems-level behavior determines successful implementation of innovation, and that clinical settings and jurisdictions need implementation tools to support the introduction of new interventions. Our goal is to support the development of a “biobehavioral infrastructure” –knowledge, guidelines, tools, and collaborative practice – that will ensure that emerging HIV prevention options and modalities expand HIV prevention coverage and increase health equity.

BLUPrInt is a collaboration of interdisciplinary researchers at the Hunter Alliance for Research & Translation (HART) at the City University of New York and the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center (ADARC) at Columbia University and clinical partners across the U.S.

Hunter Alliance for Research & Translation (HART)

HART conducts interdisciplinary, community-engaged research, broadly focused on gender and sexuality. We partner extensively with local, national, and international collaborators, applying psychological theories and research methods to develop innovative strategies that improve health equity and access. HART’s mission is to translate research findings into practical implications for service and advocacy organizations, and to develop trainings and technical assistance tools that accelerate the pace of empirically-based practice.

Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center (ADARC)

ADARC is one of the world's largest private research centers dedicated to advancing the understanding, treatment, and prevention of HIV/AIDS. ADARC's mission is to find scientific solutions to end the HIV/AIDS pandemic through a multidisciplinary approach that leverages contributions in virology, immunology, molecular and structural biology, translational and clinical medicine, and implementation science.

BLUPrInt Core Team Members

Sarit Golub, PhD, MPH is a social psychologist and implementation scientist who conducts community-based collaborative research that applies psychological constructs, theory, and methods to improve health interventions and outcomes.

Kathrine Meyers , DrPH, MS, MPP is a behavioral and social scientist who works to accelerate the pace at which clinical innovations are translated into public health interventions to maximize population impact.

Jason Zucker, MD is an adult and pediatric infectious disease specialist who collaborates with community-based organizations, medical clinics, and healthcare systems to provide training and technical assistance around sexual health and HIV prevention.

Caroline Carnevale, DNP, MPH is the clinical lead of HIV Prevention Services at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, overseeing the operations of quality, sex positive, comprehensive sexual health care to patients as well as frequently providing capacity building training for more nascent PrEP programs in NYC and around the country.

Zoe Unger, MPH is a researcher who uses implementation science frameworks to evaluate HIV prevention interventions and works to increase patient and stakeholder engagement in research.
