Additional PrEP Resources

Since PrEP’s approval in 2012, many community-based organizations, health institutions, and technical assistance organizations have been developing tools and resources to support the integration and expansion of PrEP provision. The BLUPrInt website builds on and complements the existing body of resources and is designed to be used within the context of other local and national resources. Below you will find links to a selection of other organizations doing this work.

NASTAD

Offers a PrEP/PEP access microsite that compiles latest information on HIV care access. Contains lists of national and state PrEP assistance programs. 

  • Presents a Preventative Service Coverage resource that explains the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) and how private insurance plans likely offer $0 cost-sharing for at least one PrEP product

  • TelePrEP: NASTAD offers a TelePreP Learning Collaborative to assist local TelePrEP programs with technical assistance and increasing PrEP uptake in local communities

National Clinician Consultation Center at UCSF 

Provides phone consultations for providers about up-to-date PrEP and PEP uptake strategies and decision-making (PrEP, PEP). 

Planned Parenthood

PrEP Locator 

An interactive website that helps people locate PrEP providers. Search bar features an option to look only for clinics that provide PrEP for uninsured individuals. 

PrEP4Love 

Chicago-based initiative that provides information on PrEP use and a hotline for PrEP-related questions. Website also features a list of PrEP clinics and providers in Illinois; Spanish-speaking clinics are indicated. 

PrEParing for HIV 

Informative video on the University of California’s HIV epidemic intervention initiative. Links to some California-based PrEP health and research centers are provided.

National Network of STD Clinical Prevention Training Centers 

The National Network of STD Clinical Prevention Training Centers (NNPTC) is funded by the CDC to assist clinicians with the skills, knowledge and experience that they need to address and prevent STDs, including HIV, in their patients.
